Task:
1. Get information about what to consider when writing a dissertation/ treatise and take notes in English. Use the information on this subject from your topical week DOC.
2. Create a handout in English with hints what is important when writing a dissertation and give an oral summary in English.

I can tell what to consider when writing a dissertation.

- The aim of the dissertation is to produce an original piece of research work on a clearly defiined topic.
- a good planning ist important to get on with the writing
- well plannend and widely researched
- its usefull to keep ideas that occur to you during the research in a learning journal or something like that
- the structure is also very improtant

The structure
Its important to structure a dissertations. This is a strucuture thats commonly used:
- Title page
- Abstract
- Acknowledgements
- Contents page(s)
- Introduction
- Materials and methods or Literature review
- Results or Sources and methods
- Discussion or Findings
- Conclusions
- References
Planning and research
Create a timetable and stick to it dont just leave things to the last minute. With some kind of notebook you can write down your ideas that occur to you during the research process. Dont wait with wrting things up until the end of the of the research process write as you go along.
